What’s Your Worst eBay Feedback?

eBay has a nice feedback system that is designed to tell other users about the user they might be participating in a transaction with. When you complete a transaction, you can then leave feedback about that user. You can leave a positive, a negative or a neutral and you can also write in comments. Negative is the worst eBay feedback.

eBay selling and buying allows you to receive feedback. All the feedback left for a person is collected and makes up that person’s user profile. eBay has a star system set up. Once a person gets a certain number of feedback comments, they get a certain color star.

There is also an eBay feedback percentage that shows you the percentage of positives. 100% means the person has all positive feedback comments. There is no easy way to search eBay to look at a seller’s neutral or negative feedback – they are listed chronologically along with the positives.

There is some auction management software that will let you pull out the neutrals and negatives, however. It doesn’t present a fair overview of a seller, but if you wish to see the negative comments on their account before bidding, these programs can save a lot of time.

Importance of eBay Feedback

Feedback is important to selling on eBay. If you have negative feedback, people are less likely to buy from you. If you have feedback comments that complain about the product, the length of time to receive it, poor communication and similar problems, people will be nervous about buying from you.

There are all kinds of people in the world, and all kinds of people on eBay. Occasionally you may get someone that leaves you a negative feedback without a good reason, or even by accident. If this happens, you can contact eBay about removing the feedback but it is not an easy process.

Bad feedback can haunt you so you must take each transaction very seriously. You should also be careful when leaving feedback for others. Do not leave negative feedback until you have at least tried to resolve the problem.
