Searching for Wholesale Stamps Is Too Broad – You Need to Be More Specific to Get Good Results

Simply searching for wholesale stamps in the eBay basic search will bring up all kinds of different items. Some will be postage stamps, others rubber stamps, still others craft stamps or wholesale scrapbook supplies. If you’re searching for wholesale lots of stamps, this is too broad a topic.

You need to be more specific in your e-bay search if you want to get more accurate results. Searches such as “wholesale postage stamps” or “wholesale craft stamps” would return listings that are more specific to those topics. If you add the work collectibles eBay will return results that have that word in the title.

Use eBay’s Advanced Search to Narrow Down Your Search for Wholesalers Even More

When you first arrive at the e-Bay home page, you’ll see the search bar where you can enter your terms. Any page on eBay that has this bar will have a link either beside or underneath it that says “advanced” or “smart” search.

If you click on the advanced link, you will go to a page that lets you enter more specific information to search for. You can search based on titles only, title and description, just completed auctions and more.

On this advanced page, there are many other options to narrow down the results as well. One of the more useful ones is the option to exclude certain words. If you’re finding that your searches are bringing up a common item that you’re not looking for, you can add a related word to this field and those items won’t be included in your results.

This smart search page will also let you search on listings from other countries, such as eBay Canada or other international sites. Using the advanced search can make your results much more effective.

Insurance

Insurance is usually a good idea but in general, it should be an optional feature, with the decision left to the buyer. Remember two important things about insurance. First, insurance is VERY inexpensive. Therefore, in your description, you should state how much insurance would cost and recommend it. Second, you should also state in the description that if insurance is not purchased, you are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
