Buying Wholesale DVD Collections

The time where VHS will start fading away is here. Many people are turning digital and DVDs are growing rapidly. Because they are becoming more common, they are also becoming cheaper. Many people are looking to expand their DVD collections and you will find many people buying and selling wholesale DVDs. What do we mean by wholesale DVD? Well, you do not typically get a DVD wholesale by itself. Typically we are talking about a larger collection – or lot – of DVDs. They may or may not be the same title.

Selling Wholesale Online

There are different ways of selling wholesale DVDs. You may want to buy large lots and sell them individually or you may resell them in smaller lots, passing the savings down to your customer as well. How you choose to handle your wholesaling is really up to you and what you hope to gain by selling the DVDs.

Selling at online auctions is a great way to go. Most online sites also make it very easy to list your DVDs for sale. It is pretty much click and sell. There is a great market for DVDs on auction sites such as eBay and Yahoo Auctions.

At the same time, there are also a lot of other DVD sellers, especially on the eBay internet auction site, to compete with. If you want to make money on eBay by selling DVDs, here are a few tips:

• Sell unusual and unique titles. For collectibles eBay is one of the first places people look – it’s no different for rare and unusual DVDs
• Bundle multiple DVD titles into a package. Maybe the “Best of Schwarzenegger” or “Best Frat Comedies” for example
• Focus on a particular DVD market – documentaries for example
