Save Money by Buying Wholesale Books

If you love books or read often, you will have noticed that the prices of books are increasing. A hardback can easily cost $40 or more. This can get very expensive for the book lover. Buying wholesale books can save a lot for the avid reader or book fan.

Internet auctions such as eBay have many auctions for books. There are literally thousands of books to be found if you just do an eBay search.

Selling Books on eBay

If you own a bookstore or sell books, you can also profit from online book auctions and make money on eBay. If you can buy your books at wholesale – which if you are a bookstore, you probably do, you can sell these books at auction or an online store and make a profit. You can sell just below retail and you are offering the consumer a better deal on books. It is also a lot easier for many people to buy their books online instead of having to go out shopping for them. You can take full advantage of this new trend of online shopping.

Half.com is a book-selling site that eBay bought a few years ago. One of the great eBay sellers tools that this site offers is “pre-filled” information. By entering the ISBN number of the book you are selling, the title, author, etc. gets filled in automatically. When they bought Half eBay extended this to their auctions as well – it can be a big time-saver.

Tons of eBayers look for books and will find your auctions. You can also sell your used books you have already read and make some of your money back by selling it to someone else. With the high costs of books, more and more people are opting to buy used.

Reserve Auctions

Instead of listing your auction starting at a minimum bid, you might try setting a low reserve price, which attracts some bidders. Once your item(s) sells eBay then refunds your reserve auction fee.
