making your auctions stand out when selling on ebay |
|
So You’re Wondering What Sells on eBay…There are many, many different things that sell really well on eBay. Even strange things like a grilled cheese sandwich that looks like the Virgin Mary or a cane that belongs to a ghost sell (extremely well in these cases). If you’re thinking about selling on eBay to make some extra money the question shouldn’t be "What sells on eBay" so much as "What doesn’t sell on eBay?" When you are selling on internet auctions like eBay, you are competing with hundreds, even thousands of other sellers. If you’re trying to sell the same leather briefcase or cheap DVD as a bunch of other people, it’s going to be pretty tough to stand out. To be successful on eBay, you need to find a way to make your auctions unique or add some kind of value that will make bidders buy from you instead of the other 500 auctions for the same item. How Can You Make Your Auctions Stand Out from the Crowd? If you’re thinking about finding wholesale products to sell on eBay, there are a couple of ways to do it. The best way – which does take more work – is to find unique items that there is not as much competition for on eBay. If you take shortcuts in finding your products, like using one of the many "wholesale lists" available on eBay or using a simple internet search to find wholesalers, you’re going to find the same items that so many other sellers have already found. These items are very difficult to sell for a profit because so many people are selling them. If any larger sellers are listing auctions for these items, you can bet they’re getting a better deal by buying in much larger quantities. This leads into the second way of making your auctions stand out. If you are trying to sell these "commodity" items, try bundling a few things together into a unique package. If you create a special package that nobody else is selling, you’ll get a lot more bids and can sell these commonplace items for a much better profit. Related Articles
