When you are buying on eBay, ebay.co.uk can offer some advantages for finding deals. The biggest reason you’ll sometimes find deals on an international eBay home page is because there are not nearly as many people using that site.

When you browse on ebay.com, you’ll be bidding against far more people than on ebay.co.uk. This often leads to higher final bids. By searching from the UK eBay home page, you’ll have a lot less competition.

This can sometimes have a downside as well, however. Because ebay.co.uk doesn’t get as much traffic, there often won’t be as many people selling something. Even though you sometimes need to go to the main eBay home page to find some items, it’s a good idea to check the UK on-line auction site first to see if there are deals to be had.

The other reason you’ll sometimes get better deals on ebay.co.uk is because the shipping can be less. If you search for something on the main eBay home page, most of the sellers are in the United States. When you use the UK site, many of the sellers are in the UK and the shipping will be a lot less than it would from the US for a similar item.
