Selling On eBay with Dropship Wholesalers

Most eBay sellers sell household items and collectibles for extra cash. Power sellers use auctions to make a living. Many power sellers use dropship wholesalers to acquire items to sell. These sellers purchase products at wholesale prices from a supplier and then sell these items for a profit.

Using wholesale suppliers is a quick and easy way to get low cost inventory to resell. There are basically two ways to sell products using wholesalers. One way is to purchase a product in wholesale lots and then resell the individual products on eBay. The downside of this method is that you need to have a place to store the inventory you purchase from the wholesaler until you can sell it.

The Basics of Dropshipping

If you don’t have space to store excess inventory, consider using a drop shipper for purchasing products wholesale. You can find dropshippers for just about any item or category. A few examples of wholesale products available include: electronics, home and garden, sporting goods, gift merchandise, craft and scrap booking supplies and clothing.

Dropship services all work in basically the same way. You sign up for the service with the drop shipper. You then advertise the products you have chosen to sell on auctions. When the product sells, you go to the dropshipper’s website and place your order for the item. The wholesale products are shipped directly to your customer from the supplier. Your profit is the difference between what the wholesaler sells the product for and the price your auction brings.

The wholesaler will generally charge a monthly fee, depending upon the number of categories you will use. When deciding what to sell on eBay, do some research. Search the completed items on eBay to see how certain products available from the wholesaler sell and at what price. If hundreds of sellers are already selling a certain product, consider another item from your supplier.
